We were able to scan a surviving copy of a 10th Anniversary magazine published by the college. Alumni will enjoy reading about the first 10 years. There are articles written by Dave Darbeau (Khafra Kambon), Rawle Gibbons, reports on persons like David Murray (Aiyegoro Ome), Adrian Chatfield, John Chang, our first head boy. There is an “Old Boys’ report that mentions Allison Nurse, a fellow alumnus who gave me a clinic in guitar playing in NYC during the summer of 1969. Lots of photos, lists of the staff at the time. There is a report on the move to Moka by Wattley. Portraits of the last upper sixth of Melbourne street, drawn by a fellow classmate, Colin Lee. There are photos of Moka under construction as well.
The content was proudly created and edited by the students of the college, except for the Headmaster’s report by Mr Helps, the Duke of Edinburgh Award report by Mr Thompson and the Social Club report by Father Brotherton.
I think you will enjoy perusing this material
Thanks to alumnus Lindhurst Murray for providing the original magazine from his archives.
