Dear TCAA Members and Extended Community of Partners and Stakeholders,
On behalf of the incoming TCAA Executive 2026, I express our gratitude to God and to the members of our Alumni Community who participated in our TCAA AGM on April 27th, 2026. We appreciate the confidence that you have expressed in our Team in assigning to us the responsibility for creating the leadership (cohering vision, common directionand concerted strategy) that is required to further advance the cause of the TCAA, during the next year.
At the outset of our term, we acknowledge and applaud the selfless and steady leadership provided by our outgoing TCAA Executive, which served from 2014 – 2026, led by our Distinguished Senior Alumnus and Hall of Famer Brian Moore (’64 – ’71). We commend and congratulate the members of our Outgoing Executive, including two of our Alumni who have returned to continue to serve our Association and extended community.
We look forward to collaborating with every available member of our Alumni and extended partner and stakeholder community. During the term of this TCAA Executive 2026, we intend to “Galvanize, Organize and Mobilize” as many members of our Alumni Community as possible to participate in, promote and pursue our leadership vision, direction and strategy for the sustained benefit of Trinity College, our Alma Mater, and all members, partners and stakeholders of the wider Trinity College Community – particularly our students, families, faculty and our alumni, at home in Trinidad and Tobago, and also abroad in our Diaspora.
Governed by our soon to be amended and adopted organizational and operational policy documents (relevant TT legislation, and TCAA Constitution, bye-laws, Board Decisions, etc.) and guided by our soon to be developed and deployed organizational strategy and operational campaign documents (TCAA Strategic Plan and Operational/Campaign/Action Plans, etc.), we accept your call to inspire, integrate and influence our Alumni and wider Trinity College Communities more than ever before, to realize the foundational purpose and full potential of the TCAA to give back to our Alma Mater.
Together, we can aspire for and achieve the mission, goals and objectives of the TCAA. Let us proceed, always with balanced and nuanced “Courage and Courtesy”.
Sincerely,
Anthony W J Phillips-Spencer (’73 – 80)
